Sea Spray Resort & Marina

Sea Spray has been a vital part of the Elbow Cay community since Monty Albury and his wife Ruth first started building “Sea Spray” boats in the 1980’s. It evolved into the Sea Spray Resort and Marina and became a cherished experience for visitors, second home-owners and locals. Along with so many valued homes and businesses, Sea Spray was destroyed, in its entirety, by Hurricane Dorian September 1st, 2019.

February of 2022, Sea Spray was purchased by four old friends who, along with their families, have shared a love of Elbow Cay for many years. Francis Johnson, Harry Johnson, Donovan Smith and Mills Buxton grew up together in Charleston, South Carolina cultivating a passion for life on the water. That passion led the foursome straight to the Abacos.
The stewardship of building back Sea Spray is a great responsibility. It is a privilege to restore the historic property. Engaging in rebuilding the partnerships, the experiences and the friendships that are Sea Spray is set in motion. Sea Spray Resort & Marina will be rebuilt in phases. Phase one – the marina will re-open late fall to early winter. The Sea Spray Resort & Marina’s new website and social media platforms will be launched over the next few months. Firefly Sunset Resort

Firefly Sunset Resort offers five beautiful vacation properties, with cottages and villas designed for couples, families, friends, and more. Mint To Be, our romantic honeymoon suite, with its own private plunge pool, sits on the edge of a beautiful coral cliff, almost suspended over the Sea of Abaco. Three 2 bedroom/2 bathroom cottages, Butterfly, Dragonfly, and Firefly, are designed with modern tropical interiors and provide beautiful elevated views overlooking the Sea of Abaco. Java Rum Plantation House boasts 3beds/2baths and is just a few steps to the white sandy beach. Decorated with rich Brazilian wood and rustic island decor. Onsite, is the popular Firefly Bar & Grill, open for lunch and dinner to both locals and visitors. We also have a resort boutique, private beach, two pools, dock slips, on-site reef snorkeling, corn hole, kayaking, and more.

On Da Beach You’ve arrived and are settled in. Flip Flops are on. Time to get to know the island. First stop is On Da Beach! Just steps from your holiday home. Here you will meet the friendliest of bartenders, visitors and locals. Have a question? Everyone will be more than happy to help you. Hungry? Well this is the place to come for your first taste of the island. Everything on the menu is good. You will know what I mean when you come in and have a bite. Oh while you’re waiting, check out the view! You’re not going to find that at home. If you’re wanting to start your holiday off with a little taste of deliciousness can I recommend our signature drink? The Turtle Racer! Go easy though, they do have a kick! See you there!

This charming and relaxed resort is located on the quiet and beautiful island of Elbow Cay. We are happy to announce that we are open to the public and renovated since Hurricane Dorian. We are accepting bookings for marina slips, hotel and villa accommodations, and Bridget’s Rum Bar is open serving food & drinks!
